Watercolor Painting Set of 2 with Autograph by Yoshiko Mita
A set of two signed shikishi (art boards) featuring a portrait and fruit still life titled Atsui Yuki (Hot Snow) by Yoshiko Mita.
- Artist: Yoshiko Mita
- Title: Atsui Yuki
- Artwork Description: Signed portrait and fruit painting
- Medium: Watercolor
Given her graduation from Tokyo University of the Arts High School, it is believed that she herself painted the portrait and the watercolor paintings of apples and grapes. Her calligraphy is also very skillful.
The signature is, of course, handwritten.
This is likely a signed shikishi from her younger days, possibly from a theater.
It is considered quite rare.
Due to its age, there is some slight sun fading and stains on the back.
Thank you for looking.
